League resumes at all eight centres

The 2012/2013 Premiership resumes at all eight centres this weekend after a month break for the just ended Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.

The second halve of the season opens with mouthwatering fixtures as each of the teams seek to launch their campaigns on convincing notes.

Troubled Hearts of Oak will welcome King Faisal to the Accra Sports Stadium as the Phobians begin a search of breaking free from the 'demons' that have engulfed their campaign; making it the roughest per their own high standards.

Hearts, walloping in the lower ranks of the table face a massive test against the visitors plus their fans that have grown inpatient in the face of a challenging seasons that has seen the former champions’ slump games after the other.

Though Faisal themselves has not enjoyed a very smooth outing, they are expected to start as favourites in the game that both teams will be hoping to win to inject a measure of confidence into their campaign going forward.

At the Habour City, Tema Youth will be at home to leaders, Medeama. The latter has been good travellers this season and the host, trekking a wishy-washy road this season will be the first to admit that only hard work could assure them of at least a point on Sunday.

Medeama per their performance thus far could still prove a mouthful for Tema Youth despite losing their Coach, Bashir Hayford to AshantiGold during the break.

Elsewhere, Ebusua Dwarfs will play host to Aduana Stars in an envisaged thrilling encounter at the Robert Mensah Stadium, Cape Coast. The visitors; second on the log per the standings have an edge but Dwarfs' performance at home this season remain the very reason the former champions cannot take any chances.

Heart of Lions will be on the road to Wa where they play as guest of All Stars. While All Stars have laboured to prove themselves throughout the season, Lions have seen fluctuating moments, making the game one of equals.

Berekum Chelsea welcomes Ashgold to the Golden City Park in a potentially explosive duel judging from the form of both teams. Though the Miners lost their last game at the same venue to Arsenals, they have gone ahead to prove worthy of their status as a fine team.

Ashgold without doubt will be seeking to shock Chelsea at their own backyard especially, after capturing Hayford during the break.

At the Baba Yara Stadium, holders Asante Kotoko will be hoping to post a double over Liberty Professionals as the Porcupine Warriors seek to move their title defence quest into gear. After returning from a fine start to their CAF Champions League campaign, Kotoko without doubt will start as favourite.

At Bekwai, Edubiase will clash with Berekum Arsenals while Real tamale United (RTU) squares Amidaus Professionals at the Baba Yara Stadium on Saturday.
