NCOGA hosts an all-Ghanaian conference in New York

In an effort to make it all-inclusive, responsive and relevant to the ever- changing dynamics in the Ghanaian community in the New York-New Jersey- Connecticut tri-state area, the National Council of Ghanaian Association (NCOGA) is hosting a conference involving all identifiable community organisations in the New York-New Jersey, Connecticut metropolitan area. It will be held on Saturday February 16, 2013 from 1 - 8 p.m. at the City of Yonkers Public Library Auditorium.

The prime objective of the host is to engage the council and all Ghanaian organizations in the area in a collaborative effort to develop a plan of action that will:

1. Open up membership in the Council to as many organizations as possible and

2. Re-define and re-charge a clear Ghanaian social, cultural and economic agenda that will be responsive and relevant. on a ongoing basis, to the realities of living and succeeding in the USA

Representatives of 30 identifiable socio-cultural and professional organizations have been invited to participate in the one day conference. Ghana's Permanent Representative to the UN, His Excellency Ambassador Ken Kanda will deliver the opening address.
