In Ghana and in almost any Ghanaian society or community I am aware of, people usually take a lenient person they interact with for a fool. They assume his or her leniency a weakness. I have a personal story to tell about this abysmal attitude ignorantly cherished by some Ghanaians, but it will not be for today. In the belief and assumptions of Ghanaian rogues, any good person full of gentility is not only weak but also a complete fool. This very warped mentality of Ghanaians is exhibited at every level of our socio-politico-economic development or emancipation. It is conspicuous at every level of our interaction with people, be it in official, personal, individual or group capacity.
A classical case of interest is the dismal attitudes in utter display by the NDC and their rented press. The NPP alleges the Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Kwadwo Afari Gyan, in connivance with some people, has rigged the 2012 presidential elections in favour of the now His Excellency John Dramani Mahama. As law-abiding and champions of human rights and democracy as the NPP family is, she has decided to pursue justice in the courts rather than taking to rampageous acts on the streets. The NDC, as incorrigibly fractious, lawless and flippant as they are, think the NPP has no case. They had expected the NPP to be more robust, gone out in their large numbers wielding offensive weapons, beating their chests like an angry male chimp ferociously marking out and or protecting his territory from incursion.
In the absence of armed agitation by the civilized NPP family, the NDC think the NPP faithful are weak and therefore have no evidence credible enough to overturn the election verdict pronounced in favour of John Dramani Mahama. As I always say, and will continue to say, it is extremely difficult for the small mind to comprehend when the Big Mind speaks. As long as we are living in a world that is not fully regulated, there is bound to be the types of irregularities and roguish machismo that are in perpetration by the NDC. The NPP have startled the NDC because they (NDC) never thought a moment the NPP would take them on upon discovering their fraudulent scheme to garner victory votes for John Dramani Mahama.
I will advise the NPP and all discerning Ghanaians to be resolute in their determination to ensure justice prevails with regard to their petition pending before the Supreme Court. The NDC are in a state of panic but only putting up an outward show of deceptive strength. They are weak and hollow inside. They appear threatening but are in effect empty. Their nemesis is catching up with them to end their voracious appetite for vote rigging and corruption.
I will advise NPP and all discerning Ghanaians to stay focused without ever feeling intimidated by any lawless action the NDC may take to frustrate them. I am constantly discussing the development of the alleged electoral malpractices with my White colleagues at work who are curious to know how Ghana, the beacon of Africa, emerges from this. Should the NPP be able to prove their case and have the controversial presidential election results invalidated or overturned, that silly aspiration by the incumbent African leaders to perpetuate office or power by resort to electoral fraud and violence will end.
The likes of Kobby Acheampong are simply a shame to the womb that conceived them. I feel ashamed that Kobby Acheampong hails from Mampong in the Ashanti Region. He does not exhibit the traits of an Ashanti. How dare he suggest that John Mahama, the NDC can at anytime, and their convenience impose curfew on some parts of Ghana and arrest the leadership of the NPP? I think this person has just lost the plot. He is only hallucinating. If he calls for trouble, he will have it, and have it in abundance. Be it known to him, and those reasoning same as him, that when you chase an animal to a corner, it musters courage to fight back. Similarly, when you are habituated to chasing a coward all of the time, you will surely encounter his unusual boldness. They should not out of their abundant or overflowing fountain of ignorance, underestimate what the NPP and the good people of Ghana will be capable of in an event of...
STAY RESOLUTE ALL YE NPP & THAT VAST MAJORITY OF GHANAIANS SEEKING PEACE THROUGH JUSTICE.
