Let's be more innovative in the New Year - Rt-Rev Asare Bediako

Right Reverend Kofi Asare Bediako, Methodist Bishop of Sunyani Diocese, has urged Ghanaians to be more innovative to improve on the achievements of the past year.

He said all must be more innovative to improve on their performance and with collective will and effort, the nation would develop.

Rt-Rev Asare Bediako, who is also a Development Planner, made the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani.

He asserted that the nation could experience enhanced social and economic development, provided “we depart from the old order and enter into the realm of innovation, creativity and better ways of doing the things we do every day”.

Rt-Rev Asare Bediako noted that the Asian Tigers of China, Malaysia, Hong Kong and South Korea as well as the other emerging world economic powers like India and Brazil could not attain their respective levels of socio-economic development, without innovation and creativity.

“These countries could not have risen to their current levels of development without the benefit and effective application of science and technology.

“The application of principles and theories of science and technology to achieve results for human development did not come in a vacuum but only through innovation and creativity,” he added.
