The Gospel is a powerful tool for fighting corruption - Pastor Boham

National Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor John Boham has said the Gospel should be used as a tool for fighting corruption and other social vices.

Pastor Boham, who said this in an interview with newsmen in Bolgatanga during a retreat organised by the Ministry, said the gospel is genuine tool to be used to convert people.

He said the good morals and values in the gospel when adhered to could change people who engaged in corrupt practices and other social vices.

This, he said, could lead to the progress and development of any country and called on pastors to use their pulpits to preach sound and undiluted messages to transform the flock and win more souls for Christ.

Pastor Boham cited the example of Zacchaeus, the tax collector in the Bible who engaged himself in corrupt practices by siphoning state money but had to refrain from such practices when he received the gospel.

He entreated all Ghanaians especially politicians to use the new year to forgive one another and to help move the nation forward saying “you must sometimes allow wisdom to override your right and interest for the sake of the nation and welfare of the people”.

Pastor Boham said plans were far advanced by the Ministry to build a University of Agriculture Campus in the Region and tap the fullest agriculture potentials of the Region

He said over the year the Ministry organized Youth outreach programmes which offered carrier development and youth development skills training for the youth.

Members of the Ministry used the occasion to pray for the region and the nation.
