Hearts part ways with Gyimah, Nkrumah several others

Accra Hearts of Oak on Monday handed released letters to a host of players who have fallen short of the requirements of head Coach David Duncan, footy-Ghana.com can exclusively reveal.

As footy-Ghana.com revealed exactly a week ago, we can authoritatively confirm that the club has released Prince Attakora Gyimah, former Wa All Stars midfielder Isaac Ofori and Douglas Nkrumah. The players are now eligible to join any club of their choice.

Footy-Ghana understands that Kofi Abanga, who had already requested to leave the ‘Phobians ’ has had his request turned down and will have to see out his contract which runs out by the end of this season. Abanga was in the Hearts squad that lost 0-2 to Heart of Lions last Sunday.

Centre-back Godwin Osei Bonsu who was mentioned in the earlier publication according to footyGhana’s unimpeachable sources has been given a lifeline to impress Duncan after an intervention from Hearts’ management team.

Other names chanced upon by footy-Ghana.com include Iddrisu Moro, Abdul Ganiyu, Paa Boateng, Papa Hayford and Yussif Alhassan.

Hearts are feverishly working to find adequate replacements as the second transfer window is set to close on January 8.
