Remain calm ahead of Elections- Veep

Vice President, Paa Kwasi Amissah-Arthur, was given a rousing welcome at the Sunyani airport on sunday as he began his three-day campaign tour of the Brong-Ahafo region.

He was met on arrival by the Brong-Ahafo Regional minister,Kwadwo Nyamekye-Marfo,member of the council of state,Cecilia Johnson,administrator of GETFund,Sam Garba and hundreds of NDC supporters.

His first rally was held at Sunyani, where he called on the Youth for Mahama group to maintain Ghana's enviable record of successful elections.

"We have a few days to elections and will plead with you to remain calm in the face of any provocation.

The only way you can fight the opposition is to vote massively for the NDC on December 7.

If you vote Zu for John Mahama,then you vote Za for your Parliamentary candidate,"he said.

He was optimistic the NDC will win the elections with a one touch victory.The Vice President introduced the Parliamentary candidates for Sunyani West,Berekum West and Sunyani East to the charged crowd.

Earlier,Amissah-Arthur also visited the Omanhene of Sunyani Traditional area,Nana Bosoma Asor Nkrawire.

The Veep will tour the Tano North and South Districts on Monday,Jaman North and South on Tuesday and back to Accra on Wednesday.
