Ghanaians expressed mixed feelings over attacks on foreign retailers
Trade agencies woo investors to Ghana
The question one must ask is what does Ghana want? Among the people being attacked are Nigerians and the second head line was captioned from Nigeria. Below I reproduce the attack on me by one Osei tawiah a staunch NPP member and tribalist who will not look at issues but get into tribal diatribe . “I have never met anybody in my life who is as stupid as this Trokosi Kojo T. He can only rival Ashawo-ba JJ the fool in his stupidity. What is African Unity, Kojo T.? Have you travelled to Nigeria before?
Ghanaians lived in Nigeria in the 70's and the 80's. Did you ever hear about any Ghanaian retail store in Nigeria? I remember all Ghanaian retail kiosks were burnt down in Lagos in the late 70's and Ifako, a suburb of Lagos near Agege, an area about 1 kilometer square where Ghanaians used to live was razed down by bulldozzers.
This very law we see in Ghana today was first introduced by Nigerians. Other African countries such as Togo and Ivory Coast followed suit. Have you ever seen any Ghanaian store in Nigeria,Togo or Ivory Coast?
Trokosi fools like Kojo T never travelled in the 80's. They only sat tight on their butts, seizing travellers imported cars and enjoying JJ's forced labour on Akans on our cocoa farms and lucrative mines, all in the name of their stupid Yokogari Revolution. These parasites only depended on true Ghanaians who were sweating in the forests and the Savannahs to produce our exports, and the hardworking Ghanaians that Ashawo-ba JJ forced outside the country with his Yokogari Revolution.
Kojo T., I have a question for you. Why did Nigerians deport over 1 million Ghanaiansif there's any African Unity? You may not believe this but I am one of those who walked from Badagry in Nigeria to Aflao in Ghana in 1983 only to find Ghana's border at Aflao locked up. I quite remember only Trokosis were allowed entry into their villages inside Ghana. After 1 week of waiting in Togo, the foolish JJ sent most the deportees to the Trade Fair site to be humiliated by resident Ghanaians with the excuse that he was screening for coup d'etat plotters.
The point at stake was that I million Ghanaians had been harbored by Nigeria . He does not deny it. But did the expulsion of Ghanaians sort out the problem for Nigeria. ?No it did not , it only made it worse which is why Nigerians are back in Ghana today. I have written about the Exodus, when Egyptians expelled the Jews from Egypt and this is something we all need to learn from . It is obvious these foreigners were not the problem and could be the solution . Why is a trade delegation calling for investment in Ghana from the very people we are expelling.? Then another Professor is calling for Africa to come together to solve its agricultural problem Professor Seth Kofi Akyea Danso, a member of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences, said” collaborative efforts through workshops and other forums were needed to address the post-harvest losses, low productivity, hunger, outmoded farming methods and low adoption rate of technology.” For some of us the question why is Europe uniting and why is USA , Canada and China prosperous? It is a must we learn from these people
There is a saying , in Unity is strength , so how do people like Osei Tawiah expect us to compete with China or India when we fight among ourselves? Who is more relevant , Osei tawiah or Prof Danso ?
Osei tawiah , emotion has never solved any problem , cool and rational thinking. Unemployment was not addressed by the NPP in the 8 years in power. I quote what your man Kuffour said “ Ghanaians are lazy” . The “knowledgeable “ economist and the then finance Minister Osafo Marfo said “ it is not the job of government to create jobs’ . Nana Akuffo Addo has not put this problem into his manifesto except for free SHS . If you want to debate an issue please refer to the facts and not publish what you do not know. Where were you to know if Kojo T was not in Nigeria? Do you know him? How do you know he practices “ trokosism”? How do you know he is not a “ true Ghanaian” ? How do you know Ghanaians did not have Kiosks in Nigeria? Are you aware there are Ghanaians trading in Gambia, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Cote d’Ivoire, Togo, Benin, Nigeria and a whole host of African countries? So you write out of emotion and worse still IGNORANCE. That is why it becomes frightening that people like your ilk be elected in government. Kennedy Agyepong, Kwame Okoampa, Justice Sarpong, Rockson Adofo all hero worshipping the ma te me ho” king” Baffour Akoto
Ghanaians , December the 7th is around the corner , the choices are clear like day and day . Darkness stands for ignorance and the NPP , while day light stands for the progressive parties CPP and NDC .Never forget “Kill the Ewes, Kill the Gas
Forward Ever , backwards never
