TESCON On Overdrive For Nana

The Greater Accra Tertiary Institutions Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has embarked on massive mobilization of students in all the tertiary institutions in the region to ensure total victory for the party’s presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on December 7.

The committee is touring tertiary institutions to get students deeply involved in the NPP campaign for the forthcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.

Addressing the Methodist University branch of Tertiary Education Students Confederacy (TESCON) of NPP in Accra, the Chairman of the Committee, Stephen Stanley Quaye entreated the students to move from house-to-house to spread the good policies of Nana Akufo-Addo to the electorate.

He encouraged the students to reach out to Ghanaian voters on Nana Akufo-Addo’s human-centered policies of free Senior High School (SHS) education, improved health insurance scheme for the people, housing for the vulnerable, job creation and the overall development of the country.

Mr. Quaye urged Ghanaians to reject what he described as corrupt and insensitive National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration in the December polls.

“If we continue to keep the NDC in power for the next four years, our plight shall worsen…I urge all Ghanaians to do the right thing by rejecting President John Dramani Mahama and his NDC,” he pleaded.

Mr. Quaye said the poor majority of the people should not vote for the NDC presidential candidate President Mahama because the first gentleman of the land cannot guarantee their future.

“We have a president who is a beneficiary of free education even at a time when schools in this country were only a handful, today, by God’s Grace, we have several schools in Ghana and yet he is saying free high school education is unachievable,” he said, reiterating his call on Ghanaians to show President Mahama and NDC the exit.

Enumerating more reasons why President Mahama should be rejected at the polls, the Tertiary Institutions Committee Chairman accused the president of causing “almost GHC23,000,000 to be charged on the GETfund under the pretext of sponsoring Ghanaian students in Cuba even though the students went on Cuban Government scholarship.”

He called on President Mahama to tell Ghanaians the whole truth about the Cuban package.

Secretary to the Tertiary Institutions Committee, Mr. Doomson added his voice to calls on the students to work hard to ensure Nana Akufo-Addo becomes the next president of Ghana after this year’s general elections.

“Nana Akufo-Addo is a visionary leader who will transform the economy of this country through quality education, improved health care and accelerated industrialization, among others,” Mr. Doomson pointed out.

Justice Joe Appiah and Ebenezer Nartey, NPP parliamentary candidates for Ablekuma North and Ablekuma Central respectively, who graced the occasion, indicated that NDC has nothing more to offer Ghanaians.

Joe Appiah, the incumbent MP for Ablekuma North, entreated the students to work hard to ensure NPP attains majority in Parliament.
