Mahama Ehhh! Limann was not a “Watchman!”

*By Akadu Ntiriwa Mensema, PhD

“’Northerners are tired of playing second fiddle to the presidency – Mahama.’ President Mahama has chastised the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) for not selecting a competent northerner as its flagbearer. Citing an example of former Vice President Ahaji Aliu Mahama, President Mahama accused the NPP for paying little attention to northerners. According to him, the NPP has shown in the past that it has very little respect for northerners and therefore cannot be trusted” (Ghanaweb, November 11, 2012).

Mahama eeehhh!
Remember your history
Limann was a PRESIDENT
Limann was not a WATCHMAN

John Mahama
The Northerner
Is planted in the North
Has given up on the South
The South of Limann
South that belonged to Limann
John Mahama
The clueless caretaker
Beneficiary of Mills’ death
Mahama is mouthing it all
Useless tribalistic statements
From a tribalist in batakari
Sneezing dredges of tribalism
Troubadour of tribalism
Mahama is stuck in the North
Yet his numerous children
His thirty-one Children
His bastards are in the South

Mahama eeehhh!
Remember your history
Limann was a PRESIDENT
Limann was not a WATCHMAN

John Mahama
The elitist Northerner
The clueless Tribalist
Killer of Simpa Mills
Caretaker of the Castle
Caretaker of Mills’ grave
Curator of NDC’s tribalism
Count Northerners lucky
For having free education
For wielding the Vice Presidency
Limann was not from Akyem
Limann was not from Asante
Limann was not from Kwahu
Limann was not from Akwamu
Limann was not from Bono
Limann was not Anlo-Eweland
Limann was not from Ga-Adangbe
Limann was not from Denkyira
Limann was a Northerner
Limann was from Gwolu
Limann was a Sissala
Northerners made the coup
The coup that toppled Limann
Mahama, Limann was not a watchman
Think before you squeal

Mahama eeehhh!
Remember your history
Limann was a PRESIDENT
Limann was not a WATCHMAN
