The spokesperson for Jerry John Rawlings, Kofi Adams has stated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia comments on the return of ex-President Jerry John Rawlings to the NDC campaign must be ignored.
Johnson Asiedu Nketia, who is also the Chairman of the John Mahama 2012 Campaign team asked the party founder to make his intent of joining the party’s campaign formal by notifying the party by way of writing.
Asiedu Nketia was reacting to Mr. Rawlings’ pronouncement that he is ready to join the campaign team of the NDC flagbearer, John Mahama as he seeks to be elected in the December 7 polls.
But Kofi Adams speaking on Joy FM and Multi TV’s Newsfile programme said it is unfortunate that no less a party official like Asiedu Nketia will be making such remarks barely a month to a crucial election.
