REPORTER IN TROUBLE OVER STOLEN DOCUMENT

A journalist, Mr Alfred Teye Larnyoh, has been arrested by the Greater Accra Regional Police, for unlawful possession of official document.

Mr Larnyoh, 54, currently on a police enquiry bail, was arrested at about 2.30pm on May 24.

He had gone to the regional commander's office for a follow-up on a front-page story published in the maiden issue of an Accra weekly, The Periscope, headlined "Osei- Wusu's Bogus Lie".

The document in question is a letter dated May2, 1995, signed by Mr R.A. Yeboah, Accra Metropolitan Organising Assistant of Association of the Committee for the Defence of the Revolution (ACDRs) addressed to the Greater Accra Regional Commander of Police and copied to the Inspector- Generalof Police.

The Letter was supposed to have been stolen from the commander's office.

The Police are currently looking for the publisher of the paper, Mr Opoku Baah and the Managing Editor, Nana Anim Wiafe, to help in the investigations.
