Reporting on Ghana’s Presidency

Accra, Ghana Tuesday October 16th, 2012 – In an election year, no less
historic than the last, Emmanuel A. Gamor, the managing editor of the New
Ghanaian newspaper(www.mytngonline.com), is launching a new project with
unbiased, non-partisan and objective reportage on the office of Ghana’s
highest leadership position, the presidency.

With a little over two months till voting day on 7th December 2012, the
political climate in Ghana could not be more intriguing. After the untimely
death of John Evans Atta-Mills, the smooth transition for his vice, John
Dramani Mahama’s take-over indicated Ghana’s maturity in adhering to the
democratic process. President Mahama’s continuation of the former
President’s policies reaffirms this and yet questions linger about
Atta-Mills’ illness and the events that actually lead to his death.

Reporting on Ghana’s presidency (www.ReportingGhanaPresidency.com) seeks to
elevate the discourse in sharing the role, responsibilities and challenges
of the office, identifying leadership traits that are necessary in
achieving success, measuring the policies, follow-through as well as
effects of these policies on citizens through social justice lens, and
soliciting opinions from Ghanaians of all ages and economic strata in
measuring the President’s successes and failures.

(those in primary 1 through 6) think are the leadership qualities the next
