Cynics are refusing to see development projects - Mahama

President Mahama says majority of Ghanaians say they can feel the positive impact of the better Ghana agenda in their lives.

The president said Ghana is today better off under the NDC’s ‘Better Ghana Agenda’ initiated by late President Mills. President Mahama was addressing chiefs and people of Agorti-Yiape in the Volta region today.

“NDC will continue its better Ghana Agenda and will continue the development projects under the agenda,” President Mahama said, adding, the NDC government has ensured that every district has benefited from projects.

According to President Mahama, despite what he described as a magnificent work by the NDC government, some individuals and parties have chastised the government of doing very little in terms of development.

"There are some people who stand and say they have not seen anything. You haven’t seen anything because you are refusing to see. But I know that the majority of Ghanaians can see and can appreciate what the Better Ghana agenda has done for them."

President Mahama also assured the community that the government will complete all ongoing developmental projects in the area.

He also revealed that projects such as the Kpetoe-Tongu road and the Zeope-Akatsi road have been awarded to contractors who are expected to start work as soon as possible.

President Mahama also said the water project for the Central and Northern Tongu will be started in due course to ensure that the communities around the area can have access to potable water.
