God Willing! We shall Win- President Mahama

The President of the republic of Ghana Mr. John Dramani Mahama has expressed optimism that, the Ghanaian electorates will renew the mandate of the NDC, by virtue of the late President Mills’ commitment to the socio-economic development of the country. He said the nationwide “Thank You” tour he embarked upon attested to him how appreciative Ghanaians were for the execution of the late president’s better Ghana agenda and will God willing, vote massively for the NDC.

Mr. Mahama dislosed that, the party is gaining so much popularity with various groups being formed to reinvigorate the campaign toward the elections, some of which he cited are, Zongos for Mahama, Youth for Mahama and Women for Mahama 2012, but urged the rank and file of the party to beware of complacency and be more proactive in their campaign to maintain power for the party at the elections in December, 2012.

The President stated this at a close-door meeting with the rank and file of the NDC in the US Diaspora to climax his week-long trip in the New York City, where he led a whole entourage of ministers of state, presidential advisors and members of the state protocol to address 67th session of the annual UN General Assembly Conference.

The meeting held at an exclusive location in the up-scale suburb of the city afforded the NDC members in the Diaspora the opportunity to discuss the current state of affairs within the party, familiarize themselves as well as have personal interaction with the new president and their presidential candidate for the impending elections slated for December 7th 2012.

Mr. Mahama cautioned the NDC youth to avoid engaging in similar modus oprandi of the opposition-which is replete with character assassination, abusive language, rowdy and raucous behavior, but should rather adopt a smart and intelligent means of the social media networking and the internet communications, which he reveals has over 2.6 million youthful users in Ghana to counter and debunk those unsubstantiated allegations by the opposition and thereby showcase the better agenda the NDC has for the country.

The disporan enthusiastic party members, numbering in hundreds, some of whom traveled from other states for the historic meeting were in frenzied mood to shake hands and take pictures with the ever charming and charismatic President Mahama.

As part of his itinerary, the president earlier had a town hall meeting with a mammoth group of Ghanaians in the Diaspora, where he gave an in-depth analysis of the state of the economy, covering its various sectors and the preparation toward the impending elections.
