GEREU fair will boost trade -- Silver Star

Silver Star Auto Company Limited has expressed optimism that the just-ended German, European Union (Gereu) Trade Fair has the added impetus to boost Ghana’s trade with Germany and the greater European Union.

According to the country’s authorided dealer in Mercedes Benz, such trade relations will go a long way to attract investments into the sub-region.

This view was expressed on behalf of the company by Chief Executive Officer Mr. Nouhad Kalmoni at the Accra International Conference Centre, where the three-day, 5th GEREU Trade came to an end on Thursday.

Silver Star Auto is participating in this year’s GEREU Trade Fair with the purpose of showcasing a number of its flagship passenger car models: namely the Mercedes Benz E, C, ML and commercial vehicles such as the Actross tipper-truck and the MCV 60-seat bus.

The Company also has on display the Energizer car battery, for which they are the authorised distributor in Ghana.

Mr. Kalmoni reiterated that the fair has been a tremendous learning experience for Silver Star as staff have been further exposed to today’s cutting-edge developments in quality products, parts, servicing and customer care, which will guide the company in its quest to become the leading automobile dealer in the country.

Dignitaries present at the fair included the President of the Ghana German Economic Association, Mr. Stephen Antwi; the Acting German Ambassador to Ghana, Mr. Thomas Wimmer; and the Ambassador, Head of Delegation of the European Union to Ghana, Claude Maerten.

Mr. Antwi in his address said the GEREU fair was to create a platform for businesses to expand their investments in Ghana, Germany and the greater European Union.

He commended Silver Star for continuously sponsoring and participating in the fair, stressing that the quality products and services they add to the exhibition not only attract potential customers but also provide other trade benefits to various sectors of the Ghanaian economy.

About 70 companies with industrial products and technology, including automotive parts and automobiles and communication technology, are taking part in the fair
