FA to unify Calendar for All Competition - Nyantakyi

The President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwasi Nyantakyi says his outfit will see to it that there will be a unified calendar for all competitions sanctioned by the Association starting this season.

Nyantakyi who was speaking at the 14th Annual Congress at the Ghanaman Soccer School of Excellence says it will be prudent for all the various competitions to end at a specific date so that the various players will be able to rest enough for the following season.

“We will make sure there is a unified calendar for the all competitions so that we will not see what happened this year when the MTN FA Cup ended three months after the Glo Premier, when we are able to do this it will help the players and the various clubs,” President Nyantakyi said.

“Executive Committee has requested that all GFA organized competitions should end with the last match of the Premier League for the season. Accordingly, all FA Cup and Division One League matches including the National Middle League must end before the last game of the Premier League for the season.

The RFA’s are responsible for the second and third Division Leagues in the regions. We shall continue to support them to decide their functions efficiently,” he added.
