Gbevlo-Lartey has disappointed me – Ayikoi Otoo

A former Attorney General under the Kufuor administration, Ayikoi Otoo, has expressed disappointment at the National Security Coordinator’s comments that there is no need to investigate the infamous “Yaw Boateng Gyan tape”.

According to him, Lt Col. Larry Gbevlo-Lartey has not done any work “worth the tax payer’s money. But as I said, there is no time limit you can try a criminal offense and therefore, if they think they can do a PR work for Boateng Gyan, we can assure them that in due course, we shall take up the matter.”

Lt Col. Gbevlo-Lartey stated on Monday that after listening to the infamous tape of the National Democratic Congress’ national organiser for about five times, his outfit found nothing incriminating with the issues raised in the recording hence there is no need for a probe.

The NDC bigwig in the said tape discussed lawyer Otoo’s itinerary with some alleged gangsters – a situation the latter described as life-threatening.

In an interview with Citi News, lawyer Otoo stated that “somebody says he knows my office. I close at 10 in the evening and you don’t see that in darkness, things can happen. Why should they go and talk about me and even know the time I close?
