Andre Ayew praises Black Stars teamwork

Andre Ayew is happy to see other players in the Black Stars step up to see matches through and not leave that duty to a couple of players.

Ghana got two goals against Malawi in the first leg of the final round of the 2013 Nations Cup qualifying.

Despite a strong and committed performance, the lot fell to Christian Atsu and Anthony Annan last Saturday to secure a 2-0 home win for Ghana.

Andre, who was substituted in the second half has welcomed other players having to take greater responsibility and not rely on just a couple of individuals in the Black Stars.

“We wanted to do more, but sometimes you just accept what comes your way in good faith,” Andre Ayew said after the win over Malawi in Accra.

The midfielder says it is important that responsibilities are shared and hopes the national team will adapt.

“All of us can’t perform equally. If [Asamoah] Gyan does play well and I don’t in a game, the most important thing is we win because it’s team work,” the 22 year-old added.
