Bernard Kumordzi eyes Belgian Pro League title

Ghana midfielder Bernard Kumordzi says he has fixed his sight firmly on lifting the Belgian Pro League title on his debut season with Racing Genk.

The 27-year-old midfield gem joined Genk on a three-year-contract from relegated French Ligue 1 side Dijon in July.

Genk manager Mario Been handed the former Panionios playmaker his league debut in last Sunday’s 2-2 stalemate at giants Anderlecht; coming off the substitute bench in the 59th minute.

Genk are 5th on the Pro League table with 10 points from six but Kumordzi remains bullish about his team’s chances of winning the title.

“My target is to win the Pro League title and I think we have a good team to do that.” He said.
