Public urged to patronize exhibition of voters' register

Turn-out at exhibition centres for the voters' register in the Mpohor and the Wassa East districts have not been encouraging, Mr. Yaw Amoako Gyasi, Electoral Officer in-charge of the districts said on Sunday.

He told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Daboase on the second day of the exercise: "Attendance at the exhibition centres in both districts is slow because the areas are farming communities".

Mr. Gyasi was however optimistic that patronage would pick up soon and urged the public to take advantage of the exhibition to make corrections in their personal data to enable them to vote in the elections.

There are 51 exhibition centres in the Mpohor District and 109 centres in the Wassa East District.
