“Don’t Reward Corruption And Incpompetence“ -NPP

Declares Adomako Baafi

A member of the NPP Communications Team Mr Yaw Adomako-Baafi has reminded Ghanaians that a vote for President John Dramani Mahama would amount to an endorsement of corruption and a reward for incompetence and mismanagement that have characterized the NDC government in the last three and half years.

Speaking on the Stuttgart-based Sankofa fm, Mr Baafi explained that since the NDC assumed power in 2009 the then Vice President John Mahama was in-charge of managing the economy in his capacity as the head of the economic management team and said the current abysmal state of the Ghanaian economy is an indictment of his leadership and competence.

According to him one of the greatest challenges facing Ghana is the issue of corruption which has become a common practice among party officials and government appointees in the NDC government adding that President Mahama´s personal involvement in the failed STX deal that cost the Ghanaian tax payer $264 Million raises questions about his ability to fight corruption.
Mr Baafi pointed out that for nearly four years the NDC government has demonstrated that it is not capable of managing the economy as evidenced by the daily depreciation of the Cedi, gas shortages, high unemployment and the ever rising cost of living all of which have made life unbearable for majority of Ghanaians.
He maintained that the current situation is unacceptable and that Ghanaians need and deserve a new type of leadership that can transform the economy and give the country a new sense of direction and restore hope saying” At the moment the only person who can provide that transformational leadership that Ghana and Ghanaians can trust to deliver and move the country forward is Nana Akuffo-Addo”
Mr Baafi argued that although natural resources can contribute to a country’s development, the most important ingredient in any development process is the human resource and this explains why Nana Akuffo-Addo’s vision of providing free Senior high School education should be embraced by all well-meaning Ghanaians.
He reminded Ghanaians that the skeptics and critics of this laudable policy are the same visionless group who told Ghanaians in 2004 that the National Health Insurance Scheme could not be implemented and said such people are out of touch with the hopes and aspirations of Ghanaians “Ghanaians are no longer prepared to settle for mediocrity and pettiness, they are rather yearning for transformational and inspirational leadership that believes in the ability of the Ghanaian to achieve what people else have been able to do” he declared.
Mr Baafi reiterated that the December 7 election would determine the future direction of the country and Ghanaians have a clear choice between a corruption-ridden, inept and incompetent leadership under President Mahama on one hand and a competent, experienced and visionary leader with a sense of direction surrounded by people with the necessary expertise to move the country forward.
He argued that Nana Akuffo-Addo´s personal achievements as a successful businessman, an outstanding lawyer, a human rights advocate, his contribution to the rule of law and his sterling performance as an Attorney General and Foreign Minister makes him the most suitable person to lead Ghana and called Ghanaians to vote for Nana Akkufo-Addo and the NPP to enable them transform the country.
