False doctrines leading Christians astray – Rt. Rev. Andam Beposo

The Very Reverend Christopher Nyarko Andam, Minister in-charge of the Adum Wesley Cathedral of the Methodist Church, has expressed concerns about what he said, are the confusing and strange bible teachings being foisted on the population.

He noted that all kinds of false doctrines, practices and spurious prophecies were being used to swindle innocent people.

He, therefore, rallied church leaders to stand together to expose the charlatans and the deception.

The Right Rev. said church leaders should also encourage their congregations to thoroughly study and have deeper understanding of the Bible, to avoid being led astray.

The Very Rev. Andam was delivering the sermon at the dedication of a pulpit and communion rail at the Beposo Calvary Methodist Church in the Bosomtwe District.

The items were a donation from Mr. Nathan Anokye-Yesuo, a member of the church.

He urged Christians to remain firm in their faith and uphold the true teachings of Jesus Christ.

That, he said, would enable them to influence change in the society and promote “our common humanity.”

The Very Rev. Andam reminded the church not to neglect the physical development of the people, saying it should be at the forefront of the fight to bring down rural poverty and the soaring unemployment among the youth.

He praised the donor for his support and commitment to the cause of the church and appealed to other well-to-do members to contribute meaningfully to its progress.

Mr. Anokye-Yesuo urged the church to take good care of the items.**
