We will prove Mpiani’s kickback claim in court – ISOFOTON

The local representative of Spanish company ISOFOTON has called the bluff of former Chief of Staff Kwadwo Mpiani who has threatened a law suit over allegations that he arbitrarily terminated a contract between ISOFOTON and the Government of Ghana because he wasn’t given kickbacks.

Anane Agyei-Forson on Monday alleged in an interview with XYZ News that Mr. Mpiani demanded 12 percent of a 65 million dollar sum contract contingent upon which ISOFOTON would have been awarded the contract.

The alleged percentage amounted to 7.8 million dollars.

“He (Kwadwo Mpiani) had illegally contracted an agent in Spain and that agent was as it were demanding that we pay something, we refused to pay and to my candid opinion that led to the cancelation.

“I am organizing myself to reply him” Mr. Agyei-Forson told XYZ News in an interview.

But in a reaction, Mr. Mpiani says he will protect his reputation by taking legal action against Anane Agyei-Forson if indeed he made those allegations against him.

“I have asked my lawyers to find out what he said and if there is anything against me I have asked them to take the appropriate action for him to prove it.

“I have a reputation which must be protected so I have given the lawyers instructions to act accordingly” Mr. Mpiani said.**
