Kotoko Africa Cttee outlines pre-season schedule

The 8-member committee charged to champions the cause Asante Kotoko as the porcupine warriors make a return to African Club Championship next season with the approval of the technical team, has outlined a pre-season schedule for the club.
The playing body is currently on a month long break and will resume training on July 30 at the Adako-Jachie training grounds. A member of the Kotoko Africa Campaign Committee (KACC) has revealed to footyGhana the club intends to intensify its preparations towards the 2012/13 season with a twelve-day camping at Adukrom in the Eastern Region starting August 5.
“The Africa Campaign Committee has decided to take the team for camping in Adukrom where we camped last year. The choice of Adukrom aside providing the team a conducive atmosphere for effective preparations will also give our cherished fans in the Eastern Region who have not seen the team this past season due to the lack of Premier League football the chance to see the boys play.
The team will be at the Adukrom base from August 5-16 and are scheduled to play about four friendly matches with yet to be confirmed opponents likely to be Instanbul FC, a select side, a friendly with Redbull Academy hopefully at the Accra Sports stadium then back to Adukrom to climax our preparations with a game against Okwahu United by August 16,” Nana Kwame Dankwah told footy-Ghana.com
Nana Kwame further told footyGhana that the Kotoko Africa Campaign Committee (KACC) will be organizing a grande dinner launch with the press from across the country at the banquet hall of Miklin Hotel in Kumasi on the 17th of August.
“We will be launching our committee to the press from across the country on 17th August at Miklin Hotel where we will be explaining our plans, targets and how we intend to achieve them. We are making arrangements to transport the press outside Kumasi for this event. It will be followed by PR work the following day on various radio and TV shows by members of the committee, he said.
Asante Kotoko will on Sunday August 19, officially outdoor all its newly signed players with a ‘big match’ at the Baba Yara stadium.
