Zamalek to pay for Quarshie's cancer treatment

Zamalek’s board has decided to bear the coast of the treatment of their Ghanaian Legend Emmanuel Quarshie who has throat cancer SuperSport has learnt.

The same sources told SuperSport.com that Zamalek Chairman Mamdouh Abbas talked with Quarshie at length on Friday and assured him that they will support him 100%.

As we know Zamalek is in Ghana to take on Berekum in the ACL group stage.

Quarshie was one of the best players in Zamalek in the 1980s and he helped the team win their first African Champions League title in 1984 .

He played on the same team with Hassan Shehata , Farouk Gaafar and many other Zamalek idols.

Quareshie was the captain of Ghana at the AFCON 1982 in Libya.
