Nobody Will Dictate To The Police Service Again - IGP

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Paul Tawiah Quaye has issued a stern warning that the service will not tolerate any interference in the discharge of its professional duties during the December elections.

According to him, those who frustrated the police during the biometric registration will not have their way during the elections.

Speaking at a meeting with the Upper West regional Minister, Alhaji Amidu Sulmani, IGP Tawiah Quaye stated that the service has developed a strategy to counter any form of violence during the December polls.

“What happened in the biometric registration exercise is something that gives us cause to sit back, reflect on our strategy and then learn lessons and see what we can do to improve upon our performance”.

“Sometimes we don’t have to rely on people or other organizations to tell us this or that…when we do that the fallouts normally is not good, nobody is going to dictate to us anymore.
