Press Release: Live Coverage of Berekum Arsenal v Wassaman United

Our attention has been drawn to comments by the Chief Executive Officer of Berekum Arsenal in the media that their 29th Week fixture against Wassaman on 20th May 2012, cannot be telecast live by OMP, which is a threat by implication.

We wish to state that the Premier League Board (PLB) and OMP agreed on the live telecast match schedule, which was communicated to all clubs on 19thApril 2012. This schedule cannot be disturbed in anyway.

OMP is the media partner of the GFA and their fees are shared among all the clubs including Berekum Arsenal. Berekum Arsenal is therefore directed to respect the agreement and cooperate with the GFA to enable the PLB run a smooth league as the season draws to a close.

The PLB Chairman, the Brong Ahafo Regional FA and the Safety and Security Committee of the GFA have been asked to ensure that adequate security is provided for the match.
