Three players banned separately for six-months

Ahmed Binney Nasir, Christian Mensah and Daniel Mensah, all players of Division Three side, Prince United have been separately banned six-months each and fined GH¢100.00 apiece for improper conduct.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association handed decisions after ruling on the three cases.

The sames charges were preferred against all three.

Case: Charged with misconduct for a breach of Articles 35(1), 35(2), 39(7)(a) and 39(7)(b) of the GFA Regulations in respect of the match Prince United and Rot Weiss FC in which they physically assaulted and abused and used insulting words and behaviour towards the match officials

Case: Breach of Articles 35(1), 35(2), 39(7)(a) and 39(7)(b) of the GFA Regulations including a threat of harm and future harm to the referees

Decision

In light of the case above, the Committee decides as follows:

1. That Ahmed Binney Nasir, Christian Mensah and Daniel Mensah, Players of Prince United, are hereby suspended from playing football for Prince United or any other football club in Ghana and from attending any football match organized and/or sanction by the Ghana Football Association or any of its affiliates bodies for a period of six (6) months.

2. That the six (6) months suspension takes effect from the 13th day of April 2012 to the 12th day of October, 2012.

3. That Ahmed Binney Nasir, Christian Mensah and Daniel Mensah are hereby fined an amount GH¢100.00 payable to the RFA within one (1) month on or before the 13th day of May, 2012.

4. That failure on the part of Ahmed Binney Nasir, Christian Mensah and Daniel Mensah to pay any of the amounts in (3) above, Ahmed Binney Nasir, Christian Mensah and Daniel Mensah shall automatically be liable to a further suspension from playing for Prince United or any other football club and from attending all football matches organized and/or sanction by the Ghana Football Association or any of its affiliates bodies for a further period year (1) year.
