Press Release By Koforidua Polytechnic TESCON

ON 4th OF APRIL 2012
TESCON, Koforidua POLYTECHNIC write to thank the leadership of the NPP for warmly accepting the appointment of the Party’s Running Mate, Dr. Bawumia. We wish to express our sincere appreciation to the leadership for a peaceful atmosphere that in existence before, during and after the naming of Dr. Bawumia. TESCON, KOFORIDUA POLYTECHNIC wishes to express its support to the NANA- BAWUMIA combination and pledge our full support in ensuring that the NPP recaptures power come the December 7, 2012 election.
Secondly, Koforidua Polytechnic TESCON would like to draw the attention of the “father for all” to the numerous violent incidents that have characterized his administration from the ATIWA, AKWATIA AND CHRIPONIE bye elections, to the district assemblies’ elections and currently in the ongoing registration exercise. Numerous violent incidents have occurred with some media houses having videos of some of these incidents but the PRESIDENT has made no comment on these issues. If there will be a peaceful election on December 7th, as is being preached by the President, then why has the same President been silent on the numerous violent acts that have happened in the process leading to the elections. TESCON wishes to appeal to the government of this country that the peace and stability of this country is very dear to our heart and humbly request from the Presidency to raise his voice on this violence happening under his governance and order for proper action to be taken against the various culprits.
Also, we humbly appeal to government to treat the demand of our lecturers with a matter of agency since the polytechnic education is really suffering under this government. It seems like the President and his government does not have the polytechnic education at heart.
Koforidua polytechnic TESCON finally appeal to all Ghanaian to involve themselves in the ongoing registration exercise despite the intimidation and harassment that we are all facing, so as help get the man; who has the interest of the ordinary Ghanaian at heart; the man who will make senior high school free, the man who will see to it that Ghanaians live in a violence-free country and who will help boost up the developmental infrastructure of this country.
We must be aware of the rich legacy of our past and carry it with pride and the wisdom born of experience. We must stride into the future, confident that we will meet it at the height of our abilities. And in order to all this, we must believe in ourselves, we must believe in our fellow citizens, we must believe in NPP. I believe in Ghana and I hope so do you
Long live NPP!!!
God bless Ghana!!
God bless us all.
Thank you.
