NDC Will Pay For "Unwise" Multimedia Boycott - NPP

The opposition New Patriotic Party says the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Mills administration will pay dearly for their "unwise decision" to boycott the Multimedia group which comprises Joy FM, Multi TV, Adom FM, Asempa FM and other sister media houses across the country.

Deputy Information Minister, James Agyenim Boateng explained to XYZ News that the boycott comes on the heels of what he described as “open and manifest bias” by Multimedia against the NDC and the Mills administration.

However, speaking to XYZ News, General Secretary of the NPP, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie said the NDC and the Mills administration have made the biggest mistake by opting to shun what he described as a huge platform.

Mr. Owusu Afriyie said the boycott is a regrettable move adding that the NDC must rescind their decision now or pay for it.

“I regret that the NDC have boycotted the multimedia platform, it is a huge platform and especially during an election period I think that the decision is not a wise decision. This boycott is a mistake and they will live to regret that.

But Deputy Information Minister, James Agyenim Boateng said the decision was well thought through.

“We want to officially announce our boycott of all programmes by the Multimedia group which encompasses all their radio stations and their TV station”. Agyenim Boateng told radio XYZ.
