Ato Arthur Rescues 11,200 Mothers

… Funds Their NHIS Facility, Pays Exam Fees for 1600 Needy BECE Pupils

Former Central regional Minister in the NPP regime Nana Ato Arthur who is vying for the MP position at Komenda-Edna-Eguafo-Abirem (KEEA) has stretched the concept of the GOOD SAMARITAN a little too taut for members in his constituency by hooking 11,200 mothers to the NHIS facility. Additionally, over the period of six years between 2003 and 2008 the ex-Minister paid for the BECE examination fees for over 1600 pupils in his KEEA constituency and says, he hopes to extend the gesture well beyond the boundaries that pertain at the present time to help ease the economic hardships that confront parents. Now on cue to turning a full-fledged holder of a doctorate degree in Local Governance from the University of Cologne-Germany, Nana Arthur who, once-upon-a-time was the DCE of (KEEA), then deputy Regional Minister and finally the substantive says it is a token to help assuage the harsh effects of economic hardships the people face. Relating further to THE SUN, Nana Arthur asked for prayers from his supporters and all floating voters to fight harder to cancel the over 3,000-vote deficit the incumbent MP, Dr. Annan held over him in the last elections. Answering a question as to how he came by the funds to demonstrate that exemplary level of benevolence, the former Regional Minister informed that his Catholic Church Father at Abirem Berase spearheaded his appeal for funds by placing a bowl almost every time so that the kind-hearted could fill it to the brim with cash donations. He also stated that friends of good standing were also a major help in putting their mini-financial empires at his disposal and assured that once he emerged the victor in the upcoming elections, the agenda for implementation of remedial economic hardships will be paramount. Nana Arthur promised heart and soul to put his MP Common Fund to good use by supporting the needy and to help push developmental projects when he is elected come November and has therefore asked the constituency campaign team to work assiduously towards overturning the seemingly big voting margin. The ex-Minister informed that pretty soon he was going to sponsor a gala football match between all the four traditional areas in the constituency, with the final encounter to be staged at Elmina where winners and losers all stand to gain footballs, jerseys and other sporting equipment.
