CPP Elders should resolve problems in the party

Kumasi, Jan. 9, GNA - A former Ashanti Regional Chairman of the Convention Peoples' Party (CPP), Mr Samuel Kwabena Danso, has appealed to the elders of the party to engage the national executives to efficiently manage the fall-out of the resignation of its 2008 Flag-bearer, Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom.

He said they should act with some urgency to restore internal calm and build confidence and warned that resorting to victimization or witch-hunt would not enhance the progress of the Party but rather create divisions and stagnation.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Kumasi, Mr Danso said although it was undeniable that the departure of Dr Nduom could pose a threat to the party's unity and cohesion, there is no doubt that with tact and level-headedness, CPP could survive the storm.
