Deputy Eastern Regional Minister to contest primary

Odumase Krobo, Dec.8, GNA - Mr Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi, Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, has promised the people of Lower Manya that he would ensure that their standard of living improved when elected as the Member of Parliament for the area.

He said he would liaise with the chiefs and people for the delivery of a holistic and people centred development.

Mr Terlabi was speaking to journalists after picking a nomination form to contest the constituency primary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He said he would re-energise the party for victory in 2012, when given the nod by the delegates.

Mr Terlabi indicated that although the NDC would continue to win the seat, the party needed a parliamentarian who would give due respect to the President.

He said the area had lacked infrastructural development for a long time, adding that it is time for the people to have their fair share of the national cake.

Mr Terlabi said he would address issues such as youth in education, youth unemployment and infrastructure development when he is endorsed.

He therefore appealed to delegates to vote for him so that all the lofty ideas he has for them would be a reality.

Mr Terlabi advised the delegates to avoid insults before, during and after the elections so that they come out united to win power in 2012.
