Ethics Committee clears Van Der Plyum

The Ghana Football Association Ethics Committee, chaired by ACOP. Kofi Boakye (Vice-Chairman), have ended proceedings against Hans Van Der Plyum, clearing the Berekum Chelsea coach of any allegations of racism.

Racism allegations made against the GFA was contained in a publication in the Graphic Sports and in an interview he [Van Der Plyum] granted the GNA Sports over the selection of coaches for the junior national teams.

Ethics proceedings against Hans Van Der Plyum was opened on November 15, 2011 but investigations confirmed that at no point in the interview did the Coach make that statement either explicitly or implicitly.

"The Ethics Committee did not find any allegation of racism against the G.F.A as indicated by the Publication," the Ethics Committee stated in their statement.

"Having heard the presentation from both sides the Committee was satisfied no such allegation was made and therefore brought proceedings to an end."
