Black Satellites set for 8-nation tournament

Footyghana.com understands that the national Under 20 football team, the Black Satellites will be involved in an 8-nation tournament taking place in South Africa next year.

According to footyghana.com sources, Ghana will be competing with hosts South Africa, Brazil, Spain, Japan, New Zealand, USA and England in that tournament, slated for the months of April and May next year.

Footyghana.com has also learnt that the Black Satellites management committee is currently exploring ways of organizing a training camp for players of Ghanaian parentage who fall within the age limits, as a means of capruting such players at a young age and using the best of them for the Black Satellites.

Black Satellites head coach Orlando Wellington and assistant Charles Akunnor are currently monitoring players playing in the ongoing Glo Premier League in readiness for upcoming assignments.
