Phobian hearts broken by Dwarfs

Hearts of Oak's unbeaten run in the campaign has come to end after falling to defeat at the Robert Mensah Stadium to 10-man Ebusua Dwarfs.

The defeat sees the Phobians surrender top spot as Dwarfs dent their hopes of celebrating their centenary on Friday as the leaders and unbeaten.

The Phobians, who went into the clash on top the standings in the Glo Premier League were undone by a 75th minute goal by John Arthur.

But the big game did not pass without any incident as kick off was delayed for some 20 minutes and even started with Hearts commencing the game with nine men.

Uriah Asante and Mahatma Otoo were later introduced as the game progressed, holding up play.

Both sides missed goal scoring chances and in the 60 minute, Rashid Sumaila of Dwarfs was sent off for a second bookable offence.

Despite the sending off, the home side, 15 minutes later jumped into the lead when John Arthur scored.

Hearts would need to pick themselves up ahead of the crucial meeting with rivals, Asante Kotoko in Accra
