Nduom for President 2012 Campaign Team ends meeting

Tamale Oct. 30, GNA - The Nduom for President 2012 Campaign Team on Friday ended a three-day meeting with Nduom Volunteers group in seven communities in the Northern Region, in Tamale.

The visit took the two member team to Salaga, Yapie, Bupie, Kombongu, Tamale Central, North and Tamale Polytechnic.

Mr Divine Nkrumah, a member of the Youth for Nduom 2012 told the Ghana News Agency that the move was to solicit support, and to campaign for Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom Convention People’s Party (CPP) Presidential Candidate for Election 2008, to ensure massive victory for the party in the 2012 Presidential Election.

He said Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, has taken initiatives to ensure that the CPP wrest power from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2012.

Mr Nkrumah said, Dr. Nduom was interacting with more than 56,000 youth on facebook, an internet social network facility, and many of them had volunteered to support Dr Nduom’s campaign if he is selected to lead the party in the 2012 presidential race.

Mr Nkrumah said “We believe that the efforts of the thousands of Regional and Constituency Executives throughout the regions to ensure victory for the party could be augmented by these volunteer groups. We therefore wish to urge all CPP members to be supportive of us and help the process that has began to ensure that we get more young people to vote for the CPP,” he said.

Mr Nkrumah said the team would explain the issues raised in the speech delivered by Dr. Nduom at the launch of his campaign recently.

Dr Nduom in the speech said the CPP was the best alternative to the New Patriotic Party and NDC, since the two parties had failed to better the lot of Ghanaians.
