Forestry Commission launches second phase of timber project

' Accra, Oct. 26, GNA - The Forestry Commission on Wednesday launched the Second Financial Phase of an European Union (EU) funded project, aimed at "Supporting the Integration of Legal and Legitimate Domestic Timber Markets into Voluntary Partnership Agreements" (VPAs).

The four-year project would be implemented by Tropenbos International Ghana (TBI), a non-governmental organization, established to give support to sustainable forest management in Ghana, in collaboration with the Forestry Commission (FC) and Forestry Research Institute of Ghana (FRIG) at a total cost of 24.99 Million Euros.
