Konadu wants Kotoko players to maintain form

Maxwell Konadu has stressed he will only succeed as Asante Kotoko coach if he gets the squad to sustain their early form over a long period.

The Porcupine Warriors are unbeaten and joint top ahead of rivals Hearts of Oak after just three games into the season.

Now Konadu has reiterated his desire to see his side to maintain their impressive start as they head into their weekend clash against Heart of Lions.

"We have to maintain it," Konadu told Joy FM as his side set their sights on claiming title number 22.

"That would be good for me as a coach and good for the players to boost their confidence level, so we need to maintain the form. It would be good for us to do that for sometime."

With big games against Hearts, Chelsea and Medeama all yet to come, Konadu expects his team to bag more points ahead of the big games.

"I know naturally, when the players play for sometime, they would come down a bit and rise again. So now that we are in good shape, we have to ensure that we build our points very well," he said.
