FIFA happy to have discussions with Africa

Thierry Regenass, FIFA Director of National Associations and Development says it is important for the soccer governing body to interact with various FAs to aid in the development agenda of the game.

Ghana is hosting a four-day regional seminar for General Secretaries and Technical Directors from the continent committed to sharing ideas geared at improving the administrative and technical structure of the sport in Africa.

17-member Associations on Monday commenced the seminar with Regenass explaining that such meetings benefits the game as it is intended to help plan towards the development of football on the continent while keeping the continent abreast with changes in the game.

The course, a joint partnership between FIFA and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is aimed at discussing modern managerial skills of the General Secretaries as well as refresh the technical abilities of the Technical Directors.

Ghana is represented at the seminar by Emmanuel Gyimah and Francis Oti-Akenteng while other participants from the continent coming from Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cote D'Voire, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo.
