Pantsil named Leicesterâ??s anti-racism ambassador

Ghana defender John Pantsil has been named as Leicester City’s ‘One Game, One Community’ ambassador to help fight against racism in the sport.

The programme mooted by Kick It Out will operate at the high level of English football this season and the Ghanaian will play a key role in it.

Kick it Out operates football’s equality and inclusion campaign, working with players at professional and grass roots and community level, clubs, managers and fans throughout the year.

Pantsil, as the Ghanaian international, will use his experiences of playing the beautiful game in all four corners of the globe to boost the campaign.

It is the second time that Pantsil has been handed the position as he served in a similar role at Fulham last season.

The defender’s high level of discipline in camp and his impressive public image as a unifier is the reason why he has been chosen once again.

It is during the weeks of action where the campaign is most visible, with this period acting as a united stand against discrimination and a call for equality.

Ghanaian defender John Pantsil will be flying the flag as Leicester City’s club ambassador this season, as professional clubs across England and Wales will be making their own contribution by holding match day events and activities at their nominated fixture.
