GOIL Board members take over filling stations

Accra, Oct. 3, GNA - The Board and management members of Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) on Monday descended from their offices to join filling station attendants to serve the general public at the outlet stage. The programme dubbed 93GOIL CEO Special Service," aimed at creatin= g a conducive interactive platform for engagement among management, attendants and customers, Acting Managing Director, Mr Kojo Bonsu told the Ghana News Agency in Accra.

He said the special service started last Thursday from some strategic stations for the public to get a royal treat. 93Just top up at GOIL and ge= t to win exciting GOIL souvenirs, and get served by the MD, Board and management members or even our brand ambassadors as part of our improved service offer to you". Mr Bonsu said the innovation served as part of activities to ensure that GOIL maintained its brand as the preferred choice of the motoring public, a 93GOILY DAY" has been set aside to create a buzz with the publ= ic about what to expect from the new GOIL".

The Acting MD noted that GOIL had over the years endeared itself to making every customer have memorable experiences, through the delivery of quality services with courtesy, sensitivity and minimum delay at the fillin= g stations.

"Not only do we satisfy our customers but work hard to delight them= , provide customers with information on our services, meet customers at the appointed time and be helpful in all our dealings, ensure that our receptio= n and meeting facilities are clean, comfortable and safe and handle your complaints professionally and revert promptly," he said. Mr Cyril Opon, Corporate Affairs Manager, noted that GOIL's philosop= hy was to continuously improve and provide varieties in terms of its products and service delivery through product differentiation. He said, 93In the region of fuel oils it is about combining best bree= ds of additives with the normal fuel oil. Our experienced technical team is th= e brain behind the innovations. They are able to take advantage of global research findings to create products of quality to our customers". He said GOIL had, in the recent past, embarked on large-scale modernization of its stations at the customer interface point to provide modern stations in every region to serve the communities.

Mr Opon said unlike its major competitors, GOIL believed that by supporting economic activities at the local level, wealth creation would become a reality with new or refurbished stations which 93are designed and equipped to render high quality service to the consuming public". He mentioned other innovative marketing means as GOIL Convenience shop= , which according to him had been branded the GOIL C-shop which was becoming the standard at GOIL Service and Filling stations. He said plans were afoot to create shopping, fast food and recreation centres at selected, strategically located stations, in cooperation with owners of strong brand names in the leisure and entertainment industry.
