Hearts Arrive In Kumasi For Kotoko Showdown

Hearts of Oak’s team were forced to travel late in the night by road for their epic pre-season friendly with rivals Asante Kotoko, GHANAsoccernet.com has gathered.

This was due to the unpredictable weather conditions in Kumasi which prevented the team from traveling by air on Saturday evening as originally planned.

The team arrived about 5:38am local time after spending over four hours on a touchy surface.

Nevertheless, the entire traveling party are still in buoyant mood ahead Sunday’s clash at the Baba Yara Stadium – where the visitors have had lots to cheer about against Kotoko in recent years.

Organizers of the ‘strange’ two-legged pre-season friendly between Ghana’s two most supported aims to channel monies realized for charity while the two clubs use the opportunity to showcase their new recruits to their teaming fans.
