Kwaku Bosam urges politicians to stop politics of insults

Nana Kwaku Bosam, a fetish priest at Opah near Amasaman in the Ga West Municipality in the Greater Accra Region, has advised politicians to stop trading abusive language against themselves.

He said they should rather use their time and the state’s resources to provide the needs of the citizenry such as clinics, hospitals, portable water and to help to fight malaria and other diseases such as the HIV/AIDS pandemic that continued to kill innocent Ghanaians.

Nana Kwaku Bosam also urged pastors and mallams to refrain from dubious ways of collecting monies from unsuspecting people who call on them for spiritual assistance.

He gave the advice in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Opah when he celebrated the Akwasidae festival of his shrine on Monday. Akwasidai is a religious festival of the Ashantis.

Nana Bosom said he was constructing a two-storey medical facility estimated at GH¢78,000 to serve the people of Akomadan Afrancho, his native town in the Ashanti Region.

The facility comprised 26 beds, consulting room, Out Patient Department (OPD), bathrooms and toilet facilities as well as doctors’ bungalow and boreholes.

He added that a 12-bed clinic at Sunyani Damasua in the Brong Ahafo Region is also being constructed.

Nana Bosam later took the GNA round to inspect another 42-bed medical facility project he was building at Sarpeiman in the Greater Accra Region, which he said, was also meant to support that community.

In addition, he said a four-bed clinic project was underway at Kasoa in the Central Region.

All these, he said, were being done from his own resources to towards supporting health delivery in the country.
