Akuffo Addo's campaign launched in the Kade Constituency

Abompe (E/R), Sept. 13, GNA - Mr Ofosu Asamoah, the NPP Member of Parliament for Kade, has launched the Nana Akuffo Addo for President campaign at Abompe in the Eastern Region.

He called on party members to campaign vigorously to ensure a sound victory for the party in the coming elections.

Mr Asamoah said it would be vital for every party member to register when the voters' register was opened and to convince others to vote for the NPP.

Mr Asamoah said the task ahead was Herculean and that members should be prepared to wage a relentless struggle and sacrifice to ensure victory.

Mr Kingsley Ofosu, Eastern Regional Co-coordinator of the campaign team, said the government of the National Democratic Congress made a lot of promises which enabled them to win the 2008 elections but they had failed to deliver on those promises.

The Campaign Constituency Coordinator, Nana Opoku Nti, urged party members to endeavour to explain the aims, ideals and programmes of the party to the electorate and tell them why under the current government, the ordinary Ghanaian was worse off.

He said instead of concentrating on the task of governance and improving the lot of the people the government was engaged in mudslinging and tarnishing the image of their political opponents.

The seven-member campaign team was sworn into office by the Constituency Chairman, Mr Kwaku Sarpong who asked them to be vigilant and "go the extra mile" to ensure a resounding victory for the NPP.
