I feel ashamed to listen to radio-Methodist Church Moderator

The Moderator for the Methodist Church Ghana, Prof Emmanuel Kwaku Asante says he feels ashamed to listen to radio of late, due to rampant politics of insults on the airwaves.

Prof Asante described it as mind-boggling for one to listen to the youth who will hide behind politics and castigate political leaders on radio.

He admitted that though arguments cannot be ruled out in politics, politicians must tread cautiously in order not bring acrimony among the people.

Speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem on Friday, Prof Asante condemned politics of insults among politicians in the wake of revelations from the latest wikileaks cable.

He said political leaders should condemn the act and reprimand those who indulge in such acts.

Prof Asante questioned why the wikileaks cables should be the basis of national discourse.

The Moderator of the Methodist Church Ghana therefore pleaded particularly with “the youth in the name of God to stop insulting political leaders and avoid engaging in politics of insults”.
