Nania will play in Africa

Abedi Pele's Nania FC have confirmed they will take their place in the CAF Confederation Cup next year.

Nania earned the right to take part in the second tier of the African club event after winning the MTN FA Cup, but where Premier League clubs have taken the decision to skip the financially impractical venture, Abedi says his club will warmly embrace it.

The three-time African Footballer of the Year confirmed this after picking up the Coach of the year Award at the FA Cup awards in Accra.

"We will prepare physically, mentally and tactically for it and then afterwards we will take care of the financials involved," he adds.

"What we won't do is to buy players with a view to Africa. I will rely on the young ones who have brought us here."
