Pippa's Fitness Centre sponsors Black Challenge

Pippa’s Fitness Centre, one of the leading fitness centres in the country, has unveiled a sponsorship package for the Ghana National Amputee Football Team, The Black Challenge at a ceremony at its premises at East Legon.
The sponsorship package, which involves the use of Pippa’s fitness gym by the technical team and members of the Black Challenge twice every week, is to build the fitness of team in preparation for the 3rd Cup of African Nations for Amputee Football (CANAF 2011) to be hosted by Ghana from 15th to 25th October, 2011 in Accra/Kumasi.
At the ceremony, Madam Vicki Schweigler, one of the Branch Managers of the Centre, assured the team of her outfit’s desire to support the Black Challenge win the 3rd edition of the African Cup to be hosted in Ghana. She was hopeful this package would go a long way to motivate the team to achieve their aim, disclosing that the package would extend to the tournament day.
On his part, Mr. Francis Adjetey Sowah, President of the Ghana Amputee Football Federation (GAFF) expressed the team’s appreciation to Pippa’s Fitness Centre for putting their facilities at their disposal, a gesture he encouraged other organizations to emulate.
He reaffirmed the management’s determination to win the cup for the second time to seal Ghana’s name as the best nation in Amputee Football, especially since Ghana won the first edition in 2007 in Sierra and achieved the enviable feat of being the first and only African nation to ever reach the quarterfinals of the World Amputee Football Cup in Argentina last year.
At the first session, the team was taken through series of fitness exercises by the experienced and competent trainers of the gym.
The players were delighted to have the privilege of training in a first class facility as Pippa’s Fitness Centre and indicated that with such a facility at their disposal, Ghanaians should rest assured that the cup would remain in Ghana after the tournament.
Transportation to the centre is jointly sponsored by Emperor Gaza International Foundation and Moraiah Travel and Tours.
