Central Region Women's League kicks off on Sunday

Cape Coast, June 16, GNA 97 The Chairman of the Central Region Women's Football Association, Mr Dzito Ewudzie has announced that the regional women's football league will kick off on Sunday, June 26, 2011.

The ten teams expected to participate in the league are made up of Elmina Bafana Ladies, Cape Coast Ghatel Ladies, Kubease Reasonable Ladies, Cape Coast Charton Ladies and Winneba Soccer Intellectuals Ladies.

The others are Twifo Praso Arise Ladies, Bisease Beacon Ladies, Apam Tender Heroes Ladies, Kasoa Blessed Ladies and Yesudo PSK Soccer Queens.

In a gala competition, organized by the Association to precede the league at the weekend, Cape Coast Ghatel Ladies spanked Elmina Bafana Ladies 3-0 to lift the championship Cup.
